Watchung Little League to Hold Opening Ceremony
It will begin with a parade around Watchung Lake.
The Watchung Little League is celebrating its annual opening day April 13 with a parade of all the children participating in the different teams.
The parade will be around Watchung Lake, beginning at 9 a.m., joining first at Mobus Field at 8:30 a.m. and ending at Ost Field around 10 a.m.
In addition to the children parading around, they will be joined by the Watchung Police Department, Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

After the parade, the league will hold its ceremony to honor special guests and celebrate the first pitches to open the season.
Once those first pitches are thrown to mark the official start of the season, members of the community are invited to stay in the area throughout the day for activities and games, plus plenty of food.
