With the National Weather Service predicting that snow would continue until the early morning hours on Wednesday and Warren Township police warning drivers should stay off township roads, school officials already announced on Tuesday night that the Watchung Borough and Green Brook schools districts and Watchung Hills Regional High School would be closed on Wednesday.
The regional high school, located in Warren, will be closed on Wednesday "due to inclement weather and poor road conditions, according to the high school website.
Watchung and Green Brook schools also are closed on Wednesday, their websites said on Tuesday night.
Earlier during Tuesday, both the Warren and Watchung Hills school districts announced that schools would be dismissing students early, when snow already was accumulating, and that Board of Education meetings for both districts would be rescheduled. An eighth grade orientation for parents at Watchung Hills has been moved from Tuesday night to Thursday night.
