Local 'Celebrities' Highlight IEF Read Across America [Video]
Friday's celebration of Theodore Seuss Geisel featured class readings and stories.
Several local "celebrities," including Green Brook Mayor Pat Boccio, School board members Mindy Markus-Rodden and Lisa Couch, and parents, joined Irene E. Feldkirchner School classrooms Friday for Read Across America, an annual celebration of author Theordore Geisel—Dr. Seuss—highlighting the importance of reading.
The visitors shared favorite children's books with the students—some, such as Robert Beattie and Markus-Rodden who have children in the school, read with their own kids, helping further stress the importance of reading with young children.
