Green Brook Summer Got Longer

School board OKs change to end school year June 14.

Alice Cooper's anthem "School's Out" may be playing a little earlier this year in Green Brook, thanks to the dry winter.

The school board approved changes to the school calendar at its April 23 meeting to shorten the school calendar by three days—moving the last day of classes from June 19 to June 14.

Superintendent of Schools Richard Labbe said the school calendar starts with 183 days scheduled, the 180 days required by the state plus three snow days.
