A North Plainfield resident reported someone stole her purse as she was shopping at the ShopRite grocery store at about 2 p.m. April 12.
The reported noted the purse, valued at $500, contained $350 in cash at the time of the theft. The 74-year-old victim said the purse was taken from her shopping cart as she shopped.
