Watchung Accident Reports Available Online

The Watchung Police Department has become the fourth department in Somerset County and 40th in the state to offer accident reports through a new online program.

The department announced the new service, which is through PoliceReports.US and will allow citizens to download reports. The program is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week according to the department.

Accident reports generated on or after Nov. 1 will be available through these websites: watchungpd.com and watchungnj.policereports.us.

Residents will be able to search by entering the accident report number, date of accident, or last name. A credit card will be necessary to pay a convenience fee, and the report will be immediately available for download.

The department says reports are still available for purchase at the department Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
