Suspicious Behavior Call Leads to Paraphernalia Charge

Watchung Police charged Larry McLaughlin, 38, of Plainfield, with possession of drig paraphernalia at 3:12 p.m. May 18, after responding to a report of a person behaving suspiciously in the parking lot at the Watchung Square Mall.

Police reported finding a crack pipe in McLaughlin's possession. He was held with bail set at $2,500.

Trevor Lettieri, 18, of Millington, was charged with possession of marijuana and underage possession of alcohol after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Route 22 East at 11:24 p.m. May 24. According to the police report, Lettieri's vehicle was moving from one side of the lane to another befor ehe was stopped.

Lettieri was released after the charegs were filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.

Brandon Lutchman, 19, of North Plainfield, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of marijuana at 10:44 p.m. May 16. He was released after posting a $250 cash bond, pending an appearance in municipal court.

Brian Norris, 18, of Green Brook, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 10:44 p.m. May 16. He was released after posting a $100 cash bond, pending an appearance in municipal court.

Brianna Fields, 18, of Plainfield, and Deon Elliott, 18, also of Plainfield, were taken into custody at 2:04 p.m. May 15, and charged with mulitple drug related charges following an investigation into a report of suspicious behavior at the store.  

Fields was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering the apprehension of another person. She was released, pending an appearance in municipal court.

Elliott was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, and hindering apprehension. He was released pending an appearance in municipal court, after posting a $1,267 bond for a warrant issued by Bridgewater municipal court.
