Brandywine Rise Fire was Intentional, Prosecutor Says

Crimestoppers now offering reward for information about March 22 fire.

Somerset County investigators and Green Brook police are investigating a March 22 fire at 42 Brandywine Rise, which has been determined to have been intentionally started.

The fire was reported at about 4 a.m. March 22 in the house as three residents were sleeping. All were able to evacuate, and firefighters put out the blaze.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Squad and the Prosecutor’s Arson Task Force responded to assist in the investigation after the fire had been knocked down, and determined the fire was intentionally set.

The investigation is continuing, according to a press release from Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano, Somerset County Chief of Detectives Stuart A. Buckman and Green Brook Township Chief of Police Martin Rasmussen.

Soriano said Crime Stoppers of SomersetCounty, Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of any individuals involved in the incident.
