Man Had 151 Folds of Heroin at Green Brook Eatery, Prosecutor Says

Tip leads to arrest of 22-year-old Plainfield resident.

A tip led authorities to a Plainfield man who was found with more than 150 folds of heroin Wednesday outside a restaurant near Rock Avenue and Route 22 in Green Brook, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said.

Kenneth Williams, 22, was charged with charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute.

The county task force received a tip regarding Williams' location and that he would have a sizable amount of heroin, the prosecutor's office said.

Task force detectives went to the site, set up surveillance and, at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, saw the man exiting a green Honda Civic outside of the restaurant, the prosecutor's office said.

The officers approached Williams, conducted a search after obtaining his consent and, according to the statement, discovered 151 folds of the illegal substance in his possession.

Williams is being held at Somerset County Jail.
