Pair Stole Clothing From Old Navy, Police Say

Two different women sharing a last name were arrested at the same time on Nov. 20 on separate charges they shoplifted more than $100 worth of clothing from the Old Navy in Watchung.

Laura C. Alfaro-Rojas, 22, of Somerville, was arrested on Nov. 20 at 12:52 p.m. for steeling $141.38 worth of baby’s and women’s clothing from the store, according to a report on file with the Watchung Police Department.

Also at the same time on the same day police arrested Melissa A. Rojas, 27, of Plainfield, on charges she stole 111.78 worth of clothing from the store.

The two were both released after processing, pending a court date, according to the report.

Police did not provide an answer when asked if the two were related.
