Materials and Tools Reported Stolen from Construction Site

Green Brook police investigate theft report.

A construction company working at a Route 22 job site reported the theft of $2,600 worth of tools and copper pipe, taken sometime between 6 p.m. June 14 and 9 a.m. June 15.

According to the police report, the company reported someone took 3/8-inch copper pipe installed in the building vaued at $1,000, as well as a 29-gal. Sears Craftsman air compressor, valued at $600, a Hitachi chop saw, valued at $600, a 7½-inch Skill saw, valued at $200, and at least two, 100-foot extesion cords, valued at $200.  

The report noted the location was not secured at the time the theft occurred. Police found tracks from where the compressor had been rolled across the back of the property when taken, and are continuing to investigate the theft.
