Hillcrest Road Accident Claims Driver's Life
Road remains closed as accident is under investigation.
A female driver was pronounced dead at Overlook Medical Center after her car was struck on Hillcrest Road Friday, police said.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries from the two-vehicle accident on Hillcrest Road at about 2:30 p.m. The victim's name and information are being withheld, pending notification of family members.
No other injuries were reported.

The accident happened when a vehicle traveling south on the road crossed the center line just south of Ridge Road, hitting the oncoming vehicle.
Watchung police, and fire and EMS volunteers responded to the accident scene.

Police said the road is still closed while the accident is investigated by the Somerset County Crash Reconstruction team.
