Boat Motor Stolen at Shop

Green Brook police also receive shoplifting, theft reports.

A Hillsborough man whose boat had been taken to D&R Boats for repairs reported the trolling motor, valued at $1,330, had been stolen from the boat sometime between 9 a.m. Sept. 11 and 5 p.m. Sept. 14, Green Brook Police said.

Police also received the following reports:

Octivia Starr, 21, of Plainfield, was charged with sholifting cosmetics valued at $67.44 from the Walgreen's Drug Store at about 10 a.m. Sept. 10, after a store manager reported seeing her place the items in her purse and leave the store.

Police said she had an outstanding warrant issued by the Watchung Municipal Court, with a $250 cash bond requirement. Starr was unable to post the bond, and was turned over the Watchung Police after the shoplifting charge was filed.

A Middlesex resident reported on Sept. 8 that someone took $100 from his bank account at TD Bank at 9 p.m. Aug. 31, after he had used the bank ATM and inadvertinently left his card in the machine. The man told police he had already contacted the bank to close access to the account, and waited to verify no further charges or withdrawals were made.
