$1K in Copper Stolen From Verizon Cell Tower

Police are investigating the theft from a Drift Road tower.

About $1,000 worth of copper components was reported stolen from a Verizon cell tower last week on Drift Road, Watchung Police said.

The theft occurred sometime between July 1 and Oct. 29, when the Verizon employee reported the incident, police said.

A similar incident occurred recently in Parsippany with about $800 worth of copper was stolen from a Verizon tower between Sept. 9 and Oct. 15.
