The event, which is open to the public, offers children of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore various vehicles and meet the people who build, protect and serve the Somerset County community.
“Last year’s event proved to be a great success with more than 25 vehicles displayed and over 700 community members attending,” said Rabbi Ellen Greenspan, director of Mountain Top School for Young Children. “We are anticipating an even greater turnout this year. TAT is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a fantastic family event, to support Mountain Top School, and to come together as a community.”

The 2014 Touch-a-Truck event will be held on Sunday, May 4th, from 11 am to 3 pm with a rain date of May 18th.  Vehicles ranging from fire trucks and police cars to construction and landscaping vehicles will be displayed at the Mt. Horeb Elementary School parking lot, located at 80 Mount Horeb Road in Warren.

In addition to the many trucks children can explore, local vendors will sell food, including Little Shanty and Lombardi’s. There will be carnival games, prizes, and a live performance by New Jersey kiddie band, Jungle Gym Jam. The band will play songs from the hit CD "Everyone’s Invited." Kids of all ages will also be able to see special guest Sparky from the Somerset Patriots from noon to 1 pm.

The cost of admission is $5 per person with a maximum of $25 per car. Children under one year of age are free. The first 100 people will receive a free giveaway.
