Turkey Drive benefiting NJ families

Help your NJ neighbors have a Thanksgiving dinner.

Heidi's Cottage Country Gift Store will again be a local drop-off location for the Community FoodBank of NJ's Turkey Drive. The event is on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Heidi's Cottage is located at 445 North Ave (Rt. 28) in Dunellen. Questions: 732-968-1886 or http://heidiscottage.com/

Items needed to feed NJ families including those affected by Hurricane Sandy: Frozen turkeys (never thawed), Canned Fish/Meat, Powdered Milk and Infant Formula, Boxed or Canned Meals, Peanut Butter (Plastic jars only), and Canned Vegetables/Fruits.

CFBNJ supplies food to feeding programs at some 1,500 non-profit charities in 19 New Jersey Counties. The charities include soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, food banks, after school programs and senior centers among others.
