Red Mango Celebrating New Store with Saturday Event

In the week before Hurricane Sandy struck, Becky Poon and John Kuo opened a new Red Mango Frozen Yogurt and Smoothie franchise on Route 22 in Watchung. Just as customers were finding the store, the power outage that followed the storm closed Red Mango's doors for nearly five days.

Now, with another couple of weeks under their belts, Poon and Kuo are inviting the community to their grand opening Saturday, where they will treat visitors to a free small yogurt with their choice of toppings—and the first 100 guests after the 10 a.m. opening will get a free Red Mango T-shirt.

“We’re thrilled to expand Red Mango in the state with a store in Watchung,” Poon said.  “Whether it’s a smoothie or frozen yogurt, residents will be able to experience our unique flavor combinations and know that they are getting fresh, healthy options that are fun and delicious.”
