Children's Place Coming to Watchung

The store will be opening in the Blue Star Shopping Center.

The Children’s Place is coming to Watchung with a location in the Blue Star Shopping Center on Route 22.

According to a release from Levin Management, which manages the Blue Star Shopping Center, the store will be opening this spring.

The Children’s Place, the release said, will be opening in a 4,307-square-foot building in the 419,000-square-foot property.

“Blue Star Shopping Center already is home to a Toys 'R' Us, Becker’s School Supplies and GameStop, and The Children’s Place is a great complement to these youth-oriented retailers,” said Michael Cohen, Levin Management’s vice president of leasing, in the release. “It also rounds out a strong mix of apparel stores, making Blue Star a one-stop clothing destination for the entire family.”

The shopping center is located on Route 22 between Terrill and Bonnie Burn Roads. Also in the center, for retail, is Kohl’s, ShopRite, Michaels, Marshalls, Dots, Mandee, Joyce Leslie and Avenue.

As for restaurants, the shopping center boasts TGI Friday’s, Arby’s, Five Guys, Wendy’s and more.

“Blue Star Shopping Center, through its 50-year history, consistently has drawn high-quality tenants, The Children’s Place is no exception,” said Matthew Harding, president of Levin Management, in the release. “The property’s prominent location in the heart of the Route 22 retail corridor, excellent daily consumer traffic and strong regional demographics all contribute to its appeal.”
