Basking Ridge


When/Where: The will hold its giant spring rummage sale this Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. off Route 202 at the Far Hills Fairground in Far Hills. 
Why Go: Get bargain prices from thousands of items in 25 tent "departments" with many unusual and usual (books, clothing, toys, appliances) donations coming from the community. Go early, or go the last day for even further slashed prices. Proceeds support the VNA's nursing programs for uninsured or under-insured patients.
Cost: Free admission, cost of merchandise.

BTO Lacrosse Classic
When/Where: Friday from 4 to about 9 p.m. at Mountain Park, 1 Mountain Road, in Bernards Township. 
Why Go: A fundraiser for the Bryan's Dream Foundation, established as a celebration and memorial to the late Bryan Opremcak, an avid lacrosse player who would have graduated from Ridge High School last year. The foundation has raised more than $65,000 for the Foundation for support and assistance to children and families affected by pediatric brain tumors, including services at about 25 hospitals. Great soccer action by Somerset Hills Lacrosse Club and teams from other towns.
Cost: Free admission.

Bridgewater

Youth Auction
When/Where: Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the  on Union Avenue in Bridgewater.
Why Go: To support the Bridgewater United Methodist Church Youth Organization, which is holding an auction for such prizes as a one-week stay at a Florida vacation condo, a long weekend stay at a home in Vermont, Disney tickets, Papermill Playhouse tickets and more.
Cost: $40 at the door.

Bridgewater Eco-Blast Fair
When/Where: Saturday at 10 a.m. at the , at Kid Street, in Bridgewater.
Why Go: To learn more about sustainable living, learn green practices and to see a talking robot hang out with the crowd.
Cost: Free.

Central Jersey Symphony
When/Where: Sunday at 3 p.m at Raritan Valley Community College at the .
Why Go: To see the final concert of the season with two New Jersey artists, violinist Evelyn Estava and cellist Jameson Platte, joining forces on Brahms' Double Concerto. Also on the program is Gabriel Faure's "Pelleas et Melisande" and Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances.
Cost: $20 for general admission, $15 for students and $10 for seniors.

Chatham


When/Where: 8 p.m. Friday,  cafeteria, 255 Lafayette Ave., Chatham
Why go: Treat yourself to the best of Broadway—from "Rent" to "A Chorus Line"—and support the Chatham Music and Theater Boosters in this first annual fundraiser.
Cost: $25


When/Where: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, , 23 N. Passaic Ave., Chatham
Why go: Step inside the Kit Kat Klub on the brink of World War II and into this still-relevant musical.
Cost: $25/$23 youths and seniors

Morristown


When/Where: Friday, 8 p.m. at Mayo Performing Arts Center, Morristown
Why Go: You want some city yuks without the train fare into the city.
Cost: $25


When/Where: Saturday, 10 a.m. at The Red Oaks School, Morristown
Why Go: You have a kid aged 8-12 that loves games and is curious about how to make them.
Cost: Free


When/Where: Saturday, 6:30 p.m. at Inline Morristown
Why Go: You want to see Morris County's own roller derby team show their stuff.
Cost: $12



When/Where: Sunday, 1 p.m. (registration opens at 11 a.m.) from the Morristown Green
Why Go: You want to support the cause.
Cost: Free
