Child Assault Prevention Group Looking to Hire

Opportunity to help help teach children to avoid predators ideal for stay-at-home parents.

With school starting soon, some stay-at-home parents may be looking for an opportunity to pick up some work, especially if the hours are flexible and the work rewarding.

Which is a good description of the Child Assault Prevention of Somerset County's  facilitators, a part-time position working with area schools and classrooms teaching children strategies to protect themselves and stay safe through guided discussions, narratives and role-playing.

"Most of the facilitators that work for me are stay-at-home moms—It's a great job for them because it's during school hours," Somerset County CAP Co-ordinator Priscilla Franzyshen said. "They are really my target employees."

Facilitators must complete a four-day training which includes information on recognizing abuse, overview of assault, prevention strategies, reporting procedures and responsibilities and classroom philosophy. The training will be offered in September, with work starting in October.

For more information, or to become a CAP facilitator, send an email to Franzyshen at somersetcountycap@yahoo.com or call 732-356-1422.
