My kids always enjoyed going to Colonial Park. When younger, they went for the swings and slides. Later, for walking, running, mini golf and boats. During high school years, for picnics with their friends.

none of the above. Bike over to Manville and pick up the tow path. Take a leisurely ride to Princeton. Hit Thomas Sweets and mosey on back. I like coming back 601 but some might object to the traffic so I guess return along the towpath.

We love all of the choices above, but have a special place in our hearts for a cute little community theatre, Somerset Valley Players. Run by local volunteers, attended by locals, giving opportunities to perform, create, and see live theatre to locals.

I have been involved with The Somerset Valley Players for 30 years and they are like a second family for me. There are wonderful shows on their stage, and great opportunities for acting and volunteering!

Wow! These are difficult choices. Just goes to show how many great things there are to do in Somerset County!! My family LOVES the Somerset Valley Players productions. Family friendly, great shows, adorable building and affordable for the whole family! Must See Entertainment! Another must-do family activity is to see The Somerset Patriots play ~ GO PATRIOTS!! Lastly, the beauty of the parks and recreation in Somerset County are breathtaking. GET OUTDOORS and enjoy a bit of "Paradise" (as my dad says :)
