'Gentlemen's Club' Gone, What Should Replace It?

Would residents welcome a new tenant—if they picked up where Players left off?

It in its heyday, the Players Club on Route 22, in Green Brook, was a popular nightspot...for some.

But for many others, the strip club was probably never more than an eyesore, a reminder of the need for zoning ordinances to bar adult businesses in the township.

The club has been closed for some time now, with the building waiting for its next occupant.

But what kind of business would be most appropriate for the location? Do you see it as an upscale restaurant or converted to offices?

Tell us what you think would be best for the location in the comments box below.

Anything that can afford the outrageous taxes in the state or is willing to go thru the town's ridiculous zoning commission to open a decent business. Let's be realistic, during a recession is not the time to open an "upscale restaurant".

Ok, this may be an eyesore, but what about the Ivory Tower Motor Inn? That's the real eyesore. Who let someone build that?

It's probably too small but we really could use some type of food market.

is that the old Jukebox Eddy"s? I'm always hearing how we ccould use a Trader Joe's around here..the closest is in Westfield? P.S. The Ivory tower Inn has been around for YEARS, but considering the economy, even that building and its' residents are needed regardless of its' facade.

An after-school activity center for local kids, or a grocery store (Trader Joe's, Fresh Market, Whole Foods). Let's keep Green Brook nice and healthy!
