Watchung Hills Coach Sets Football Camp Dates
Arrowhead Football Camp slated for July 9-12.
Watchung Hills Regional High School Varsity Football Coach Marc Crisafi will host the first Arrowhead Football Camp for children in grades 3-8 from July 9-12, featuring an emphasis on teaching football fundamentals in a non-contact format.
Coach Crisafi has been instrumental in the development of many fine young men who went on to become exceptional football players at the Division I, II and III levels, as well as two players who made it to the NFL: Darnell Stapleton, starting Guard of the Super Bowl XLIII Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, and Current New Orleans Saint Free Safety, Isa Abdul-Quddus.
The AFC’s experienced coaches will help young athletes learn the best techniques and skills taught at every level of football.
Coach Crisafi’s mission is to educate each player about the finer points of being part of a team. The Camp will stress the importance of sportsmanship, effort and respect, while the daily instruction will focus on offensive and defensive fundamentals, as well as speed and agility. The sessions will also promote goal setting, resilience and positive thinking, in a caring, supportive atmosphere.
All campers will have the opportunity to be counseled by members of the Watchung Hills football coaching staff and team members under the direction of Coach Crisafi, who has been coaching football for 23 years and is preparing to begin his third year as head coach of the Watchung Hills Warriors.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day at the Watchung Hills Pop Warner Complex. Cost for the week-long Arrowhead Football Camp is $140 per player, which includes a camp T-Shirt.
