If the check was in the mail this month, there's a possibility it didn't get through—at least for mail sent from several area ZIP codes, including Green Brook and Watchung, that was destroyed Sept. 11 when a US Postal Service truck caught on fire after hitting another truck on the New Jersey Turnpike.
