Police Chase Has Man Facing 10 Years in Prison

Irvington man sentenced after pleading guilty to leading Watchung police on chase in 2011.

 

An Irvington man was sentenced to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to eluding, aggravated assault and receiving stolen property in connection with a 2011 incident.

According to nj.com, Jonathan Banks Jr., 51, led Watchung police on a chase while driving a stolen van. NJ.com reported Banks was one of three people charged in connection with the chase and will be required to serve at least five years before he becomes eligible for parole.
