Perryville Man Critical After Flipping Car on Route 22

55-year-old taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center.

 

John Flynn, 55, of Perryville (Hunterdon County), is listed in criical condition at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, where he was taken after the Saab sedan he was driving in the westbound lanes of Route 22 hit an embankment and flipped, at about 9 p.m. Thursday.

Flynn was alone in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

According to police, Flynn's vehicle struck the concrete median divider twice, before swerving suddenly into the right lane, clipping another car, then hitting an embankment several hundred feet west of Rock Avenue and flipping over.  

Green Brook volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the accident, using extrication equipment to get Flynn out of the vehicle.

No charges have been filed yet, police said.

Robert wood Johnson is a university hospital, not a medical center. Hope he's ok.
