Help Track Power Restored in Green Brook

Few in town have service more than a week after Hurricane Sandy—let's keep tabs on repairs.

To help track power restoration in Green Brook, we've created an interactive map showing what areas have power.

When the lighst come back on, add your block to the map by telling us in the comments box below. We'll update the map.

While neigborhoods aren't necessarily added in continguous fashion, it may be helpful for residents to see where the power is back on.

Why do I feel like we are always the last to get power? After hurricane Irene it took 5 days, and now after Sandy its about 10 days....

Just got power back on Dudley Ct yesterday evening. In addition, it looks like the businesses along Route 22 from the Green Brook border to King George Road now have power too.

The PSE&G outage center still claims "restoration is estimated to be by 3:00 PM on 11-03-2012" for my street (behind BK) which obviously hasn't happened. Why don't they update their estimate so we can plan accordingly?

My PSEG account online said the same thing. Finally I went in and actually "reported" the outage, the date cahnged to the 9th. We do have power back now as of Sunday night...Green Brook Rd Between Washington and Warrenvile.

from green brook township website: If you have a power outage & have not yet reported it, call PSE&G at 1-800-436-PSEG. We want our current outages to be accurately reflected in the numbers that are being maintained and reported on by PSE&G.

We are still out of power. We are off Morning Glory road and I have reached out to the Mayor and PSEG and yet have had no luck in getting any answer as to when exactly it will be back. Also have not seen any trucks in the area. Was told by a PSEG person at one point that someone needs to assist with tree clean up first but did not get any answers as to who oversees that. I sent an e-mail to the CEO of PSEG Ralph.LaRossa@pseg.com which I got off twitter maybe we need some individuals to voice their concerns to actually get some action. Completely frustrating experience.

PSE&G has a lot of information on their website; they have 4,000 out of state workers helping their usual 700 on the ground employees. I am a Green Brook resident without power, and I for one am very happy to hear they are working on restoring all the power instead of answering individual people wanting a personal call from the CEO to tell them EXACTLY when their own home will be restored. As of 7:30am, 70,000 remain without power from Sandy. This is down from about 181,000 from around yesterday around the same time. Check out http://www.pseg.com/info/media/news.jsp if this information does not satisfy you, keep waiting for that call from the CEO because nothing short of that call will satisfy you.

this is as of yesterday 11/7. According to this, they are estimating to restore 170 more Green Brook residents today (thursday). I am off of Rock Rd West so unfortunately I am expecting to be one of the last ones to be restored as should you since we are on the north side of 22 (they restore where they affect the most number of customers first, which as unfortunate as it is for us, makes sense)

Dear Ang thanks for your links but this is information I already have. The list is not at all indicative of when they will work in my area which is something I would like to know. Also I am not expecting crew people to leave their jobs and answer my calls. I am asking for better communication which can very well be delievered if they were efficient. They are a company and they offer a service if they cannot handle planning and accountablity like other companies do I am sorry I am not sympathetic. As for waiting on a call from the CEO that was not the point of the email it to convey the dissatisfication as a customer to the way they are handling this. Some of us do not have generators operating I suppose if I did have one then I too could be more patient. Nonetheless 10+ days without power is unacceptable and that may very well be my opinion. As you may cast your own judgments and are entirely entitled to your opinion.
