Township Committee honors longtime judge on his retirement.
The Green Brook municipal courtroom was rededicated Monday night, renamed in honor of Municipal Judge Raymond DeMarco, who retired from the bench after 42 years.
Along with the dedication, Mayor Jerry Searfoss announced that June 22 will now be known as Raymond P. DeMarco day in Green Brook.
“As mayor I was always proud that Ray was our judge," Former mayor and current Freeholder Director Pat Walsh said. "I heard nothing but compliments from any attorneys that dealt with our court, and from people that had to go before him. Regardless of the outcome, everybody always had a tremendous amount of respect him.”
