Five Ways You Can be the Publisher on Patch
Whether you need to highlight an event or have a rant, you can publish it directly.
Did you know the Patch platform was designed to allow users and readers to directly post their own features?
Through the variety of formats, we've made it as easy as possible for you to share your photos and news stories, or write your own column—all of which can be done directly to the site.
By uploading directly, you can get your news out faster and easier than with any other community publication.
You'll need to create a login and password, but once logged in, you can take advantage of our:
Pics and Clips
The Pics and Clips feature is great for sharing your neighborhood photos, photos of storm damage or the kids' games. Clicking on the tab on the home page opens the complete gallery of photos submitted, and by clicking on the tab at the bottom of the gallery, you can upload the photos or videos and add captions yourself.
We regularly feature the fresh photos readers submit, so it's a great way to share nieghborhood news.
Contribute
The contrbute link at the bottom of the page lets you quickly and easily add an announcement or calendar event to the site—or send a news tip about something going on.
Comment
We want to know what you think, what's your reaction to the news you read every day? Take a moment to add your thoughts on stories that mean something to you.
Blog
Use your expertise and opinion to write columns on whatever topics interest you, using Patch's blog platform. Featured blogs appear on the home page, where they will be read.
Get started by clicking on the tab marked "Want to blog on Patch?"
Directory listings
Did you know all local businesses get a free directory listing, which can feature an in-depth look at local shops, stores and offices and include photos or even videos? Business owners who "claim" their listing can change the listing to include new features or services, highlight key changes, or customize store information.
