Business Administrator Quits Green Brook School District
Michael Colling moving to district closer to his home.
Friday will be Green Brook Schools Business Administrator Michael Colling's last day in the district, after he gave notice to the district that he accepted a position with the Medford Lakes school district.
"We all wish him the best," Superintendent Rick Labbe said, adding Colling lives near Medford Lakes and the change will end his nearly 90-minute commute to Green Brook.
Colling had been in the district for about 18 months.
The Green Brook Board of Education approved hiring Gregory Brennan, a 19-year employee of the West Orange School District.
"We're real excited to have him come aboard," Dr. Labbe said. "Greg is someone who has exceptional capabilities."
This will be Brennan's first posting as a business administrator.

Wow, you have to hand it to the Greenbrook School District in their astute hiring of a Business Administrator. Since this is a BUISNESS arangement did anyone think of attaching a contract for a certain length of time when Mr. Collings was initially hired? Is every Business Administrator going to get a little "resume time" before moving on in short order to possibly better paying positions in other districts? Assuming this is an important position attach a contract for a length of service at initial hiring and if the applicant wants to abandon the position before the expiration of the contract said applicant may "buy" their way out of the agreement. Only terms that should not apply are for health reasons and circumstances out of the applicants control with Administrative oversight. Make sense?
